How Top Workplaces are Determined
A聽number of local聽companies, nonprofit groups and government agencies聽agreed to participate in the survey,聽which was distributed earlier in the year by Pennsylvania-based survey firm, Workplace Dynamics. 聽The short questionnaire included 聽statements that asked associates to rate their workplace on a seven-point scale from 鈥渟trongly disagree鈥 to 鈥渟trongly agree.鈥澛燛mployee participation in the survey was voluntary and confidential. Workplace Dynamics ranked the companies with the highest scores in three categories, determined by the number of local employees at each company. ().
